The book, written by the Hollywood Reporter contributing editor and former White House adviser, is being labeled as a tell-all from his time inside the Trump administration.
It features over 200 interviews with the president and key players in his administration, according to The Guardian.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, made a deal when they came to Washington to serve in the White House that the first daughter would become the first female president if the opportunity arose, according to a forthcoming book obtained by The Guardian.
The book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” by Michael Wolff, is based on over 200 interviews with the President and prominent figures inside and outside the administration. It includes tidbits about the Trump White House’s key players, including the deal between Trump’s elder daughter and her husband.
“Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president,” says a New York magazine story adapted from Wolff’s book, without disclosing the sourcing behind the anecdote. “The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka Trump.”
Fire and Fury also highlights the many disagreements between former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and “Javanka,” his nickname for Ivanka and her husband.
“It is a war between the Jews and non-Jews,” former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger is quoted saying.
Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist who has been openly critical of both Ivanka and Kushner, was shocked when he was told of the couple’s reported agreement, according to Wolff.
“They didn’t say that?” Bannon said. “Stop. Oh, come on. They didn’t actually say that? Please don’t tell me that. Oh my God.”
It’s no secret that Ivanka Trump has made a name for herself in the political world as an official White House advisor to President Trump.
Many people have speculated that the reason she is so involved in her father’s administration is because Ivanka wants to run for President in 2024.
Wolff’s full book will be released on January 9.
