Former President Barack Obama wished his Twitter followers joy and peace in his first post-White House Christmas message with his family on Monday.
This is the first Christmas season in eight years for the Obamas outside of the White House. In an accompanying photo, the former first family are posing in front of a Christmas tree along with young children dressed as elves.
President Trump also offered a message on Christmas morning, saying in a video: “Melania and I are delighted to wish America and the entire world a very merry Christmas.”
During the campaign trail and his first year in office, Trump suggested that the Obama administration created a war on the phrase “Merry Christmas” and vowed to bring it back.
Barack Obama and his family started off Christmas morning by sharing a family photo on Twitter, with the former U.S. president joined by wife Michelle, daughters Malia and Sasha, and a cadre of small children dressed as elves.
As of late, the photo has already garnered over one million likes and over 200,000 retweets. Several Obama followers also wished their entire family a wonderful and blessed Christmas.
People have just started to realize that President Obama’s 2017 is very disturbing. The guy just doesn’t like Christmas very much. The picture the Obama’s are using this year is the same picture from 2013.
