Rosie O’Donnell “Trump fans Hound Me and My Kids”

Rosie O’Donnell has been a constant presence on social media in the months since President Trump took office, but has avoided making many public appearances since last November’s election. She explained why that was the case , when she was one of the guests at a special Trump-roast edition of John Fugelsang’s comedy show ‘WTF Donny’ at Caroline’s in New York City according to Page Six.

“This is the second time I’ve been in public since he’s been elected because I go to the mall sometimes and Trump people go, ‘Hey f - - k you’ . . . The boys in public school in New Jersey said to my 14-year-old daughter the next day, ‘Tell your mom I’m gonna grab your pussy.’ It has affected my entire life and my entire family for a tremendous amount of years — over a decade,” she said of her long-running feud with Trump.

But she added that people should be sympathetic towards Ivanka Trump. “The next time you or I want to make fun of Ivanka, I want you to carefully think — with compassion — about what . . . [she] had to do to survive . . . being favorited by that cult leader who has the power to fool a nation, and she was his chosen child. It is not a fun, healthy or recoverable place to be.”

In August 2015, Trump stirred controversy during the first Republican presidential primary debate by invoking his long-running feud with O’Donnell, a former co-host of TV’s “The View.”

When co-moderator Megyn Kelly quoted some of the words Trump had used to refer to women — including “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals” — Trump raised his right index finger and interrupted her.

“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” he said, to laughter and cheers.

Rosie dislike of Trump doesn’t extend to his relatives, with the comedienne encouraging people to be sympathetic towards Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

“The next time you or I want to make fun of Ivanka, I want you to carefully think – with compassion – about what (she) had to do to survive – being favourited by that cult leader who has the power to fool a nation, and she was his chosen child,” O’Donnell said. “It is not a fun, healthy or recoverable place to be.
