TRUMP to meet LEWIS but says “HE GOT CAUGHT IN A BAD LIE “

John Lewis said in a recent interview with NBC he doesn’t see Mr. Trump as a legitimate president because of Russian meddling in the election and also said Friday’s inauguration will be the first presidential inauguration he’ll have missed since entering Congress in 1987.

Mr. Trump fired back in a pre-taped Fox News Channel interview that the Georgia congressman ‘got caught’ in a lie about his history of inauguration boycotts. As with Trump’s, Lewis claimed at the time that Bush wasn’t a legitimately elected president. He said later that he had forgotten about his 2001 boycott.

“He conveniently doesn’t remember. How do you forget if you go to an inauguration?” Mr. Trump said in an interview that aired Wednesday on “Fox & Friends.”
“So he got caught, and it’s pretty bad, and it’s making him look bad, frankly,” Mr. Trump said.
“I think for him to have grandstanded … I think he just grandstanded, John Lewis, and then he got caught in a very bad lie,” he said. “So let’s see what happens.”

But he insisted that he’s willing to meet with the Democrat despite being ‘off to a bad start.’

‘We’re off to a bad start. There’s no question about it,’ Trump said of Lewis. ‘What he did was a very, very bad thing.’
‘Not for me – for me it doesn’t matter – he did a bad thing for the country. Very, very divisive. We have a divided country. And it’s not divided because of me. It’s been divided. But we have a very divided country. And what he did was very, very divisive.’

‘Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!’ Trump said.

Trump added he will not miss the nearly 60 Democrats who are skipping his inauguration on Friday, he told Fox News in an interview broadcast Wednesday morning. In fact, he said, he could use the extra tickets.

“As far as other people not going, that’s okay, because we need seats so badly,” Trump said. “I hope they give me their tickets. Are they going to give us their tickets or are they going to give them to other people? No, what happens to their tickets? I hope they’re going to give us their tickets.”
