The 37th awards, taking place at the O2 Arena in London,.The 32-year-old Pop star Katy Perry danced alongside burning skeletons dressed as representing the British Prime Minister Theresa May and US President Donald Trump as she attempted to make a political statement. Joined on stage by Bob Marley’s grandson Skip Marley, the US singer introduced two skeleton puppets dressed as the Mrs May and Mr Trump were during the pair’s first meeting in Washington last month.r as she performed her latest single ‘Chained To The Rhythm’. One of the puppets was dressed in a red blazer and skirt, similar to what May wore during her summit with Trump. The other skeleton donned a suit with a red tie identical to the outfits worn by the leaders when they met at the White House last month.
Perry campaigned for Hillary Clinton in last year’s US election. During the 2016 race, wrote on Twitter that the 2016 election was a moment of awakening for the singer, known more for squirting whip cream from her breasts than her political awareness.“Sometimes it’s scary opening up to consciousness,” she wrote, “makes you realize how asleep you were, and how OK you were with it.”
Her latest music video warns against “living in a bubble” as she visits a dystopian theme park. In the track, Perry sings: “Are we crazy? Living our lives through a lens, trapped in our white-picket fence, like ornaments, so comfortable, we live in a bubble, a bubble, so comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, the trouble.”
