Nearly a year after the 2016 election, President Trump is still reveling in his victory over Hillary Clinton. President Trump on Sunday retweeted an animated GIF showing him hitting a golf ball at Hillary Clinton, knocking her to the ground as she boards a plane. He did this just moments after using Twitter to mock Kim Jong Un, the nuclear-possessing dictator of North Korea, as “Rocket Man.”
Trump did the retweet from his personal account and not the @POTUS handle on a day in which he shared several pro-Trump tweets, including one of a train with a giant Make America Great Again hat.The tweet shared by Trump included this text: “Donald Trump’s amazing golf swing #CrookedHillary.” According to the Washington Post, the footage of Clinton comes from 2011 when as Secretary of State, she tripped as she boarded a plane heading to Yemen. Obviously, the real clip doesn’t include her getting hit with a golf ball. The GIF originally was posted by a Twitter user whose bio includes the hashtags “#LockHerup,” “#ObamaGate” and “#SusanRice,” among others.
The tweet revealed a President still reverting to his old social media habits, namely, those likely to earn him quick criticism, less than two months after retired Gen. John Kelly took over as White House chief of staff. While Kelly has not sought to stop Trump from tweeting, he has encouraged the President to allow him to vet the tweets before posting them — a request Trump has sometimes acquiesced to. Back in July, Mr Trump vented his rage against the media by posting someone else’s doctored anti-CNN video that showed Mr Trump pummelling a man in a business suit — the man’s face obscured by the CNN logo — outside a wrestling ring.
This time, Mr Trump has retweeted a user with the Twitter name “CNN sucks”.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment Sunday about the President’s tweet and whether Kelly was aware of it. A spokesperson for Hillary Clinton declined to comment on the tweet.
